Skin Care Routine
Everyone has their own routine when it comes to skin care, but figuring out what works for you is the hard part. I struggled with cystic acne growing up and tried everything from prescriptions to over the counter drugs and more. I was put on a medicine that helped with the cystic acne during high school but it still came back, just not as severe. It took me years to figure out a good skin are routine for myself and I finally have one.

Routine : I'm a firm believer that you don't have to spend a lot of money to get results. All of these products I use are under $30 and do wonders for my skin! In the morning/at night I will wash my face with Belli Anti-Blemish Facial Wash, I love this product so much! It took me awhile to find a face wash that really worked for me, I have been using this product for 2 years now. One of the main reasons why I love this face wash is because I was able to use it during my pregnancy. Nothing scared me more than something that recommends you calling your OB/GYN before you can use the product. I can't stand when my face burns after using a face wash, this product makes it feel so smooth and natural. I am very religious about moisturizing! So much that I do it least twice a day! Not only does your face feel so much better after it's been moisturized but it's very good for your skin to keep it young and healthy. I use CeraVe Moisturizing Cream, the main reason why I love this moisturizer so much is because it doesn't make my face oily. I went through so many moisturizes trying to find the right one to help with my dryness but also not make so much oil on my face. This moisturizer is inexpensive and it lasts so long. I have been using the same jar twice a day for the last 6 months! At night, after I have washed/moisturized my face I apply Bio-Oil to my scars, because I had cystic acne it caused scarring on my face, this product hasn't made them completely go away but it has lightened them up tremendously and I feel like with more time they will eventually fade away. Every other day I will exfoliate my skin, I do this every other day so I don't damage my skin with taking off too much of my dead skin. I know they sell fancy brushes for that but I have never used one, I feel like my hands do a pretty good job scrubbing. I use Himalayan Scrub, there are so many exfoliators out there, the thing that stood out with me with this product was how soft my face felt immediately after rinsing it off. Another every other day product I use is L'OREAL Pure-Clay Mask, I like face mask that are easy on and easy off, which is exactly what I get with this product.
Whenever I am getting a pimple I like to apply Mario Badescu Drying Lotion to it. This works wonders with drying it out before it gets to the real nasty stage! As long as you apply this lotion when you notice the pimple your problem should be solved in a day! Lastly, I'm not exactly sure how much it helps my acne but I drink about 120oz of water a day (thanks to breastfeeding), ever since I started hydrating more I noticed that my skin looked more alive and vibrant! If you end up trying/have tried any of these products please comment your opinion of them. I hope it works for you like it did for me!
